Together for all Thailand – Donate to less fortunate people

Please help us support the very impoverished people living in TAK province near the Burmese Refugee camp. Our base will be at Tha Song Yang, Tak, Thailand. This base is very close to the big refugee camp where over 200 000 people stay.

Scattered around the hills are people who got out from the camp; most of these people are without ID cards, and are not allowed to work outside their area, but there are also many Thai amongst the most dire population. Most of them do not have electricity, nor running water, and live in straw houses.

We have been up to the base twice with cars, and one time with truck this will be the second time with truck. One of the families living in the area is a man with 8 children named Pa luang. Due to circumstances, he only had one shirt that he washed every night. With our last visit, he received an additional shirt, so that now he has two. He and his children have no work, but instead live from other people’s leftovers, and this is very common in these parts. These are the impoverished people in Thailand.

Please donate what you can; everything will go to good use:

Kitchen items (non-electrical)
Clothing of all sizes
Bedding and towels
Toiletries
School supplies
Toys
Books
Solar powered items
Dry food, or candy
Christmas presents (it is Christmastime after all!)

A photo wishing them a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, with a personal message would be great (We be laminate the photo or paper) It would be fun for them to see who is giving the items.

We have already collected many items, but the goal is to fill a lorry load of donations so that we can make it worth the trip. The cost for the lorry and other expenses will be around 30 000 THB. With remaining funds, if possible, we plan to install solar power, as well as water filters to the poorest families with children; they should be able to do their homework and drink clean water. We also want to help by setting up a water filter system for the local school.

If you would like to help out, you are welcome to drive along. We will leave on xxx and we are planning to stay there for xx nights.
There are a few places to visit in the area; a big cave and national parks. It is also on the way to Chiang Mai. Since there are limited hotel rooms available, we suggest you contact us so we can book for you. The hotels or guesthouses are 500 per night with air conditioning.

You can donate to this Bank Account, PayPal or the fundraising page. This is a Restart Life Project by Rotary E Club of the Carolinas.

Any items can be dropped off at Pattaya Animal Clinic in the middle of Pattaya; a clinic with the heart in the right place. Open from 08.00 – 22.00 every day.
