3rd November SAT

The SAT is a standardized test for college admissions in the United States. The SAT is owned, published, and developed by the College Board, a nonprofit organization in the United States. It was formerly developed, published, and scored by the Educational Testing Service which still administers the exam. The test is intended to assess a student’s readiness for college. It was first introduced in 1926, and its name and scoring have changed several times. It was first called the Scholastic Aptitude Test, then the Scholastic Assessment Test

9th – 11th November GIN Conference

GIN stand for Global Issue Network.
The student leadership team has come up with “Time to Act, Time to Change” as the conference theme. We are running out of time to solve the global issues that plague our earth and that we as global citizens should seek to eliminate these.
Each school delegation is invited to submit a clear and concise short film of up to 3 minutes length before the conference begins. The film will describe the team’s project in school.
This is the first time for ISE middle school to attend this conference and we chose “Education for all” for our video theme.

You are welcome to watch our film by following this link:

19th – 23rd November THIMUN @ Singapore

MUN or Model United Nations is an academic simulation of the United Nations Assembly that aims to educate participants about current events, topics in international relations, diplomacy and the United Nations agenda.

The participants role-play as diplomats representing a nation or NGO in a simulated session of a committee of the United Nations, such as the Security Council or the General Assembly. Participants research a country, take on roles as diplomats, investigate international issues, debate, deliberate, consult, and then develop solutions to world problems. More recently, simulation of other deliberative bodies, such as the United Nations National Security Council, has been included in Model United Nations. In general, the participants on each committee that the teachers’ executive panel considers to be most contributing are given awards, such as ‘Best Delegate award’.
