Golf Tourisms Importance to Thailand

Inspire was delighted to attend this years Thai golfing review at Leam Chabang Golfing Resort on the 20th December.

Attendees included the TAT Executive Director, TAT Executives from Rayong and Pattaya, the Inspire team, Callum Mackie from Solar Golf and the General Managers from various golf resorts on the Eastern Seabaord and throughout Thailand. The event was hosted by the very capable Mike Messomonta the President of the Eastern Golf Association.

Callum discussed the past 12 months achievement that included tours to various countries such as Spain and Portugal promoting golf in Thailand; whilst other guest presenters subjects included online marketing, the opportunities for the Japanese and Korean golfer, and the demand for dual location holidays – such as a few days in Hua Hin and then a trip to Pattaya to play golf.

Inspire Co-Founder and Director, Dan Cheeseman, was asked to present a few words on how Inspire has helped the golfing agenda in Thailand.

With Hua Hin winning the golfing destination of Asia and Australasia in 2014, the importance and future of golf in Thailand will certainly go from strength to strength over the course of the next year.
